Bit of drama this morning as I caught my nail on my laptop bag and now there's a huge split across my nail as you can see in the photo below.
I've heard about this tea bag method to fix splits as I'm sure many of you have too, I've been meaning to try it out for ages so as I have plenty of time today I thought I'd give it a go.
So here's all my equipment:
- tea bag (obviously)
- clear polish (Collection 2000)
- nail polish (Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blood Orange - just bought this, excited!)
How to:
- Cut a square piece of teabag
- Apply clear polish over split
- Place teabag over split
- Apply more clear polish on top of teabag
- Once dry file over the teabag to smooth it
- Apply nail polish
I should have filed the teabag down more as you can still see it after applying the nail polish, I'll have to remember to do that next time. I used my new purchase Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blood Orange which you don't need to use a top coat on as it's super shiny on it's own, I love the colour too.
This method seems to be working well at the moment and I haven't caught my nail on anything else so I'm pleased with this.
